Workshop Details

Make your own beautiful Christmas stockings that are personalised and unique to you. During this workshop you will learn, * How to choose suitable fabrics * How to use interfacings to give your stocking body and structure * How to cut your fabric * How to put your fabric pieces together * How to add an hanging loop As well as creating a beautiful stocking you'll also gain sewing confidence and skills. This project is suitable for all levels but you'll need to be able to use a sewing machine and bring your own sewing machine to the workshop. Date: Saturday 2nd November 2024 Time: 12noon – 4pm Cost: £15 workshop fee You can bring your own fabric or purchase some or all of the materials required. You will need to bring your own sewing machine and materials, or the materials can be provided at an extra cost. Materials required: 1 fabric stocking panel or 1/2m of fabric for the outside Lightweight interfacing to match the size of your fabric Lining fabric to match the size of your fabric 1m ribbon to make a hanging loop Sewing thread Additional equipment you should bring: Sewing machine Scissors Pins If you wish to purchase materials the prices are as follows, 1 fabric stocking panel - £9.50 Fabric panel and lightweight interfacing - £11.50 Lining fabric - £10 1m ribbon - 50p Invisible sewing thread - £3 Complete kit - £20 Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring your own packed lunch.
